Cedar Mesa
North of the San Juan River, Cedar Mesa is 'high lonesome' country in se Utah. It was intermittent home to Anasazi during several periods of their 700 year history before they left suddenly about 1285 AD.
Cedar Mesa ruins are more natural, isolated, and give one the distinct sense "You might run into an Anasazi around the next corner...!"
Each of these images was captured near Magic Hour using high dynamic range (HDR) capture techniques.
